Therese Kincade – Associate Artistic Director

therese-kincade

Therese was named the Associate Artistic Director in May of 2013. Therese joined the staff of The Little Theatre in the fall of 2011 as the Tour Director booking and directing musicals into schools in the Midwest.

She started her acting career at The Little Theatre as the Reverend Mother in Nunsense in 1998 a role she reprised in October 2013. More recently she has been seen on stage as Madame Thenardier in Les Miserables and Violet in 9 to 5. Some of her favorite roles at LTOTS were in Mary Poppins, 42nd Street, Anything Goes, The Music Man, Oklahoma, Footloose, Baggy Pants Burlesque, Annie, Showboat and White Christmas. More recently, she has directed Legally Blonde and The Addams Family on the mainstage. She also serves as the artistic director for our Theatre for Young audiences during the summer season. Therese especially enjoys teaching acting in our education program to middle school students, high school students and adults.

Therese was the Director of the highly acclaimed spring musical at Charleston High School from 2001-2013. And because she doesn’t have enough to do, she and her husband, Bob, have owned and operated What’s Cookin’ Restaurant in Charleston, IL since 1980.
