We close one show and right away throw the next one into the space. I have to tell you that I am so happy with how the set and costumes for A Year With Frog and Toad are coming along. Tuesday, November 17 we will be opening the show with performances starting for schools that will we will bus in from all over the area. Twenty-two of our students from the S.T.A.R. Dance and Drama program will take the stage for a total of 9 performances from the 17th through the 22nd. Costume design is by local artist Timmy Valentine and the sets were built by David Scobbie and Angelo Torre. The set features two houses (one for Frog and one for Toad) that spin to reveal the inside of their little homes. They are built on a little dock that sits on their pond. I have to say that this set is the best children’s theatre set we have ever had on our stage. Thanks guys for all you have done for this show.
The holidays are right around the corner and the Second Act Gallery is gearing up for all the holiday shoppers. November 21 will be the official ribbon cutting and grand opening of the gallery. We are currently featuring the artwork of Timmy Valentine, John McDevitt, Drew Hine, Cody Sanantonio and many others. You can find that one of a kind gift for anyone on your shopping list this holiday season. Stop in from 10-5 Tuesday through Thursday, 10-8 on Friday and from 10-2 on Saturday. We will have extended hours any evening that we have a performance and also on Sunday afternoons when shows are going on at the theatre.
