Educational Supplements
A study guide will be available for download from the internet for educators to use before and after the play. 50–minute workshops may be scheduled for up to 100 students (ratio of 25 students to one teacher) following or preceding a performance. These basic drama technique workshops are structured to meet the needs of the school. As a state certified Professional Development Provider (#07103011732886 ) The Little Theatre On The Square actors can also provide workshops for teachers.
How It Is Done
All performances are approximately 50 minutes long followed by a short question and answer period where the students get the unique experience to “talk back” with the three actors. The company will arrive at your school about 45 minutes prior to the assembly. They bring sets, props, costumes, and sound equipment and set it up in the space you normally have assemblies. We need an area that is a minimum of 20’ x 20’, and an easily accessible electrical outlet.

STAR Program History
In the Spring of 2004 S.T.A.R. took flight by touring a production of “Accidental Friends”. In the fall of 2004 we added “The Garden of Rikki Tikki Tavi” to our repertoire. Since then we have offered new productions every semester of shows such as “Schoolhouse Rock, Live! Jr.”, “The Sword in the Stone”, and “Knights of the Round Table”. We have received tremendous feedback from principals, teachers and students. Their enthusiasm and positive responses have encouraged us in our endeavors to bring the Arts into Education.
