While some of our audiences may not immediately recognize his name, in his short tenure as Music Director, Joshua Zecher-Ross has become a vital part of the creative team here at the Little Theatre on the Square, and he’s certainly made a mark on this summer’s mainstage season.

Before they were portraying the angst-ridden adolescent spellers in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, the stars of our latest mainstage premiere were living similarly angst-ridden adolescent lives. Below they share some of their favorite, most precocious and sometimes bizarre childhood memories.

While their names, Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, may not be immediately recognizable– their music has remained a mainstay of American pop music for over half a century.

Well…the weather man says more snow! I am so tired of this and I know everyone else is too. Even through the snow and the cold, we keep moving along here. This past weekend, we started auditions for our 2010 Summer Season and have auditions again on Friday in Chicago and the following weekend in St. Louis. Saturday was some of the BEST auditions I have seen in my 5 years here in Sullivan. It is going to be a great Summer.

Well…for the second year in a row here at The Little Theatre, Sullivan’s Got Talent! We are holding our finals competition on Saturday night, January 23 at 7:00 PM. We have 9 finalists this year and it is going to be a great show. You can get your tickets at the door for only $5.00. Doug Wilson will be our emcee and we also have some special guest talent performing as well. Remember that you get to be part of the judging for the show. Your vote counts for 1/4th of the total.

We talked about upcoming shows and different things going on here in Sullivan at The Little Theatre On The Square. Next up we have a tribute to The Temptations and The Supremes direct from Las Vegas.
